I agree. Previous trade voted no b/c it was like 89, 78 for 83,80,80, but now its like 89, 72, for 83, 80, 80.

What? I am VERY confused. I have imported draft classes for xbox before, and I can say that the first rounders are 82-84ish (Top 10s are even higher, 85-6ish, with top 5s even reaching 88, DMac in my case), 2nd rounders 79-81ish, and so on. Plus, I have heard from multiple people (and seen a sample draft class of 08 and 09 on this site myself), where 09 players seem higher rated than 08, and someone said it was because the progression system for the guys who stay develop even better. That being said, how the hell is the 1st rounder a high 70, when a first rounder 08 is going to be 83+? Plus, its not like Dallas is going to win the super bowl. I'm just slightly confused as to what the basis for the ratings are. Plus, the #39 OVR, 2 of the guys I am considering were potential first rounders. So, they drop from 82 to 78 b/c of the round they were drafted in?

Well I dont know if were importing 09 draft classes and so on, but Maddens rookies in the draft are usually high 70s near the end of round 1...

I'm pretty sure we are importing. I was just using those as an example. At any rate, your argument was based on the 360, which is using additional ratings for the next gen games, while mine was based off xbox, which was current gen with ps2. Less ratings to worry about = higher OVR.

there are usually only about two 1sts below 80, just saying.

and those guys are usually either borderline (1st/2nd projected), or they just have slow speed, etc.

MLB's and WR can some times be rated as 1st and be 79. I have seen this in the case of Vince Hall a few times.
