| Ernie Sims Looking To Build On Positive Yet Shortened SeasonAfter suffering a season ending injury last season LB Ernie Sims is looking to pick up right where he left off by compiling Pro-Bowl numbers. The Lions made a switch on Defense last season by moving to the 3-4, and Sims excelled greatly gathering 13 sacks in less then half a season. The Lions Defense suffered a huge blow last season when it lost Rookie MLB Patrick Willis, but Sims picked up the void that was left when Willis sustained a season ending injury. With almost one full season under the 3-4 alignment the Lions expect bigger and better things out of their Heat Seeking Missile in Ernie Sims. "His speed alone makes him a great outside rush, and his ability to step back into coverage just adds to this long resume" says GM DC. "You just never know what he is gonna do because of that added threat of him coming from the edge", but nonetheless we expect Ernie to be healthy and continue to make this Defense feared and respectable. | |
