| Well since there are numerous other threads about teams, I thought I'd start my own. Due to inactivity by the team's GM, the Titans have made very little noise this offseason, and enter the season with only a couple new faces on the roster. One thing that can't be denied is the running game that the team should have this season, with a very good RB, a great interior O-line, and possibly the greatest scrambling QB in NFL history. The defense may not be the strongest in the league, but it does have some very good players on it, and is consistent.
Many seem to think that the Titans will compete for one of the early picks in next year's draft, and mainly I attribute that to the low number of high profile players on the roster. The team is basically consistent all around, with every starter being rated 80 or better (outside of TE). The team should also finish 1st in the league in rushing yards, and are a legitimate threat to put up 3000 total rushing yards this season.
Here is the depth chart to help judge your predictions:
QB:
Michael Vick 91/4 Tim Rattay 77/3
HB:
Rudi Johnson 92/2 Jason Fargas 79/3 Michael Pittman 77/3 Ron Mahe 70/1
FB:
Mike Alstott 87/3 Alan Ricard 82/2 Ahmard Hall 79/3
WR:
David Givens 83/3 Arnaz Battle 80/2 Kelly Washington 78/2 Kelly Campbell 77/2 Jonathan Gage 76/3 Steve Breaston 71/3

LT:
Michael Roos 84/1
LG:
Vince Manuwai 91/4
C:
Kevin Mawae 91/2 Eugene Amano 73/2
RG:
Benji Olsen 90/2
RT:
Jacob Bell 82/5 RT #74 78/3 Seth Wand 78/3
LE:
Jamaal Anderson 82/5
RE:
Osi Umenyiora 90/4 Travis LaBoy 79/5

| I think 8-8
your offense is fairly easy to guess with your WRs the way they are, so it wont be hard for opposing teams to guess your playcalling. You do have a good run game though so that should still balance out at least. Keep in mind though Vick had a terrible year last year, if he repeats that then you'll wind up like the 49ers did, great team but because of a bad performance by the QB, they had a bad record. Also, youve only got 3 90+ players on defense, leaving a lot of holes that could easilly be picked apart. (ex. look at your ROLB and RE, 97 and 90, thats spectacular, but look at your LOLB and LE, 83 and 82)
When I look at this team I basically see two halves, one is very talented and the other is lack-luster. So I split the difference and the record is as shown. | |
