#38 (second round) - Arron Sears, OT, Tennessee.



A durable and productive collegiate lineman, Sears is a wide-bodied blocker with starting possibilities. Likely to be used inside at guard initially, yet could fill in at the left tackle position in a pinch. Three-year starter who has played every position on the offensive line except center. All-Conference pick after his junior and senior seasons. Well-rounded and versatile blocker with starting potential at the next level. Fundamentally sound, displays better-than-average footwork and makes good use of blocking angles. Stays with the action, jolts opponents at the point and seals them from plays with good body positioning. Quick to the second level, redirects to linebackers and keeps his feet moving on contact. Strong at the point and controls opponents. Lacks top lateral blocking range. Over-extends or lunges into blocks in pass protection.

#56 - Justin Durant, MLB, Hampton



A hard-working player who’s been ultra-productive, Durant is an instinctive defender who likes to get involved in the action. Could be used on special teams early in his NFL career and eventually develop into a starter. Three-year starter awarded MEAC Defensive Player of Year honors every season since his sophomore campaign. Senior totals included 98/13/1 after career-best numbers of 124/15/5 as a junior. Explosive one-gap linebacker who makes a lot of plays on the field. Breaks down well, is rarely off his feet and displays a good head for the ball. Fluid moving laterally, smooth pedaling back into coverage and scrapes well in the box. Explodes upfield filling gaps in run defense, takes good angles to the action and flashes on the scene. Small, gets wired in blocks or has tackles broken.

#69 - Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn



Coming off a sensational junior campaign, Irons’ development was slowed last year due to injuries. Has room for development and could eventually grow into a starter at the next level. South Carolina transfer who earned All-Conference honors after his junior and senior campaigns. Ground totals last season were 198/893/4 with 10/78 catching the ball. Struggled with injuries throughout his senior campaign. Posted career-best rushing totals of 256/193/13 as a junior. Quick and elusive ball carrier with terrific football instincts. Patient, shows good vision and follows blocks anywhere on the field. Quickly cuts back against the grain, loses no momentum when he must change direction and has a burst through the hole. Slashes off defenders to pick up positive yardage and keeps his feet driving up the field. Faster than his 40 time and can run to daylight in the open field. Rarely breaks tackles and does not pick up much yardage off initial contact. Marginal pass-catcher out of the backfield. Gives effort blocking, yet gets minimal results.
