FA thoughts

we're thinking about changing the max from 128 pts to 100 pts

also, you cant submit your resignings until seasons end. This is because a players overall can fluctuate during the season (an 82 could be an 87 by seasons end or an 87 could be an 82 by seasons end).

yea, im finalizing the 100 pt rule right now, but im still thinking on the not resigning during the season rule.

well we could do it so you can resign before end of season, doesnt really matter too much to me

its just that, when you resign a player during the season, doesnt the season you resign them count for one year on their contract? (so you sign a player during the season to a 3 year contract, doesnt that mean two years later he'll become a FA?)

I think 100 points is to low!

I only got to resign like 4 players and I was over 100 points if I'm not mistaken. 126 seemed a bit low honestly, but was reasonable. 100, I'm just not feeling it.

Are these points just for resigning or are they also going to be for signing FA in the off season?

100 is way to low

I think either number is fine. They both seem low, and they some what are. It allows for the resigning of 4-6 players if you are signing to long term deals. Most NFL teams don't resign more players to that to long term deals. So it is some what realistic. The only problem I see is it makes all players of a same rating equal in what they will resign for. In Madden it would cost you significantly more to sign a 99 QB for four years than it would a 99 SS, but under our system they would cost the same.

They are aiming for a bigger FA pool

Yea, I want it to be like a huge draft.... i was considering like 80, but i said 100 instead.

that rule doesnt sound to bad to me..

maybe we should bump it up to 110, its only a 10 pt difference and im sure we could still get a good pool out of it. At least every team should be releasing an 80 player im sure
